Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I am! We got our tree up and the lights hung. I love driving around with the kids at night looking at all the houses that are lit. They love it. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

She's such a good big sister...

Austin playing with trains. He looks so funny being so little and sitting at that desk.

And because this little turkey is ALWAYS getting into something. Here he managed to get a hold of Sara's lipgloss.

Sara's 5th Birthday. All she wanted for her party was a pinata and pin the tail on the donkey.
And this one is just because he is so darned cute!

how cute is this!

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000SOQH14/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance

How super cute is this?!! I am so saving my money and getting it for the kids. Jason will probably disown me, but he really doesn't have a leg to stand on after the whole roadrunner incident. :D Just kidding honey! It's about 3 feet tall and the KIDS CAN RIDE IT!!! It doesn't go anywhere, but it supports up to 80 pounds! It makes horsey noises and moves it's head and swishes it's tail. I wish I had one when I was a kid. The only real problem besides saving up for it, is that they are going to love it so much that they will fight over it. Now that's when you know you got a good gift!

O.K. enough about that adorable horse. The kids and I are spending Thanksgiving without Jason. He's in California picking up the aforementioned Roadrunner. We are going to celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday, which is Sara's 5th birthday. I can't belive she is 5!!!!!

Well, I better get going, I smell something stinky coming from a very small boy...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope yours is happy and delicious!

Austin's 1st Birthday

He had such a good time with the cake! Will post more pix later.

again with the bad blogger....

Sorry guys! I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted. It was a little crazy there for awhile trying to finish Sara's costume BEFORE Halloween! :) Nothing really to report. Jason bought ANOTHER Roadrunner, this one's a convertible. (Well, let's just say that's what it's SUPPOSED to be...) And from the looks of it, he got an incredible deal. We'll see.... Love that man and his crazed obsession for old, crappy cars that he envisions rescuing and bringing them back to life.

I'm feeling better, not outstanding, but better. I'm assuming that the thyroid medicine is contributing to that. I go for more bloodwork in a couple of weeks and we'll see where the levels are then. But for now, I'm just pushing along.

So excited Christmas is coming up soon! It is my favorite holiday. I love the decorations and giving gifts. I really care less if I get anything, I just love giving to everyone else, especially the kids. It's like my mission to try and find the best possible presents for them and still be realistic. Last year the roller coaster was a hit, so I have some big shoes to fill. So far this year, I got them a kids indoor trampoline. (The kind with the handle) I'm hoping this will keep them from jumping on my couch! And some various other things, jammies, stamps, etc. I plan on getting Logan this kids workbench complete with power tools! And Austin is a bit harder because a) we already have a crap load of toys, and b) what do you really get a 1 year old for Christmas. BUT alas, I have a plan. I saw these foam blocks which are pretty big. I think he'd have a good time crawling over them. And the other kids will enjoy hitting each other with them.

Now since none of them can read yet, ok Sara can recognize her name but she doesn't check the blog, DON'T TELL THEM!!! Not that I thought you would, but just in case. :D

Well, it's late and I better get myself to bed. Here's a pic for you... Oh yes, she's a funny one...

insert sigh of relief here...

Went over the test results with the Dr on Wednesday. Nothing major, thank goodness! My thyroid is completely out of whack. No wonder I've been so tired, gaining weight, and losing my hair like crazy! So, I'll just have to take a pill the rest of my life. Which does suck, but it could be ALOT worse.

Anywho, after the Dr's appt we all went to the pumpkin patch. It ended up being closed, but we could still buy pumpkins that had already been picked. We got 3 pretty good sized pumpkins for $20. I thought that was pretty good. Sara has nagging to make jack-o-lanterns and go trick-or-treating. Soon enough.

Have a good weekend and here's some pictures from the pumpkin patch.

finally...

First of all I want to say that isn't it too cold out for the mosquitos? Apparantly not! I was just outside for literally 2 minutes and my ankles are all ate up! No real reason that I haven't been bloggin' lately, just busy with life I suppose. I would like to ask those of you out there that pray to keep my Uncle Bill in your prayers. He has cancer. And also, my Aunt Kathy because she has her work cut out for her. Speaking of medical issues, I am waiting on the results of some blookwork I had done last week. I was only anticipating a Rx refill, but they want me to come in and "go over the results." I'm sure it's nothing, but I am a chronic worry wart, so I'm already making a mountain out of a mole hill! It's what I do and I am really good at it. :D But I digress... Here are a pic of the kiddos. Have a good one!

priceless tidbits...

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share a few little gems that have come out of the mouths of my kids lately. First up is Sara... A few weeks back she was mad at me for something. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a piece of paper with a drawing on it. It was a picture of a stick person with curly hair with a no sign (circle with a line through it) over her. She said that it meant "No Bad Mommies." And that's not the end of it. The next day or so we were in the truck and she was again mad at something and told me "Remember that picture? No bad mommies!" When I scan the picture in, I will be sure to post it here. It was very comical.

Now for Logan... Yesterday he was dancing to the theme song of Go Diego Go. I told him to pick up his sippy cup and he told me "No mama, I'm dancing!" However, after he finished dancing, he picked up his cup. :)

And well, Austin doesn't talk yet, but he is darned cute! Now, for your viewing pleasure.

Blue Monday

I am feeling so rotten today. Austin and I have a cold. It's awful. So that's why I haven't called anyone in the last few days. I can hardly talk. Well, I can talk, it just hurts. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the start of Autumn. Have a great day!

bad blogger

I know, it's getting worse instead of better. You would have thought that since I haven't posted that we have been doing all kinds of things. Well, if you thought that, you were wrong. Nothing much to report. Now that school (preschool) is in full swing it seems like the time is flying by. I am happy to report that Logan has only cried twice since he's started school. And that was the first two days. He LOVES it. He only goes two days and Sara goes four and he gets pretty annoyed that he doesn't get to go all four days. In due time, little man. He is totally cracking me up lately. Today, as I was getting him out of the truck he said, "Mama, I'm so sad." And I said, "Why?" and he said, "Because." And that was it. Oh and of course there is still the "Iya turtle" thing that cracks me up. Austin is a crazy man. He has discovered the dog's water bowl and things it's his own personal splashing pond. Had to break out the baby gate once more...And Sara poo. She's doing awesome at school as usual. And is really into space right now. She wants to be a scientist when she grows up. LOVE that girl. And me, well, I ordered a new laptop! YEAH! I am so excited! But it's not supposed to come in until mid-October, maybe sooner. And Jason's super computer is coming along nicely. It should take off any day now. :) Well, I have rambled on haven't I. Well, for your patience, here are some pictures of the kids. Enjoy!
She is SUCH the princess...

Oh, he's going to kill me for this when he's a teenager. Sweet revenge will be mine!

And the doll baby...

And Austin and Grandma Judy...

ok...

...so tommorrow turned out to be a week or so later. Sorry. :( I'll try and do better. This week has been a little rough. ALL of the kids have been sick and Jason is in the reserves. (Can you say TIRED?) Mostly everyone is over it except for Austin. Poor baby. He is such a trooper. I can tell he feels rotten because he isn't smiling much. And he is definately a smiler. Today is really the first day that he's perked up a bit. This was also Sara and Logan's first week of school. Sara was brilliant as always. And Logan is getting better. He only goes 2 days a week and the first day he cried for 15 minutes and then was fine until he saw me when I picked him up. And today he didn't cry at all until it was time to go. The teacher also told me that another little kid bit him on the finger. That was interesting. Logan has the same teacher that Sara had last year, so it's a bit easier for him because he knows her and the classroom. Other than the sickness and the new school year, nothing really new around here. Enjoy the photos! Oh and Lori, you better send me a picture so I can finish my album! :)

oh what a day...

Today was one of those days. Just a quick recap...
1. Meet the teachers day at school. You could hear Logan screaming down the hall...
2. Logan woke up from nap with a raging fever...
3. Had to put Austin to sleep twice because I was yelling for Sara because she was hiding and I couldn't find her.
4. Logan power puked all over the floor.
5. Meanwhile Jason is out with his buddies and I am dog tired, even before all this started! Anywho...just a little rant. I'll post some pictures tomorrow...goodnite all...

for your viewing pleasure...

Just a couple of things I've been working on.

I hope all ya'll are doing well. :) Sara is excited because I told her that I got tickets to The Wiggles. Although she doesn't understand that they aren't coming until November. So I'm sure we are going to be fielding questions from now til then...Austin had is 9 month check-up yesterday. Everything was good. He's 20lbs and I think 27 inches long. I don't remember exactly. Well, I better get for now, but I will leave you with a small token of Logan...
Yesterday, before we went to the doctor's office, Logan came up to me and said Mama, I swallowed a coin...We haven't seen it yet...

TGIF!

Oh yes! Today is Friday! Yeah! Jason is home this weekend and we are going to take in an airshow of some sort on Saturday. Nothing much to report. I've been working all week on Ribbon Junkie and now that this month is done I have to start on next month! It's a bit of work, but I really enjoy it. Below are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Have a great weekend!

I also want to wish Ted a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

No that is not blood on his face, but in fact, it's lipstick. He raided Sara's hand me down stash. Nice, huh? Oh, do I dare mention that he plays dress-up with Sara??
And of course, little miss thing. I can't believe she is growing up so fast right before our eyes.

Now this is a scrary picture!!! Austin has the most expressive looks. He's always wrinkling up his forehead. What a ham.

Hi Ted!

Just a quick hello to Grandpa Ted! Here's a picture for you!

just us...

Jason had reserves this weekend so he's at VA Beach. He should be home in a few hours. We all miss him bunches when he's gone. And when he's gone that means that I have to put all the kids to bed. Normally, it's not a huge problem, but it was last night. Mostly because Sara let Logan out of his room while I was trying to get the baby back to sleep. It went steadily downhill from there... Today has been better. I'm just really tired. I did, however, finish the 3rd Harry Potter book. I like the fact that I started reading the series after all the books came out. It might have driven me mad to have to wait months and years for the next book. They are really pretty addicting. It's great because it's pure entertainment. I don't have to think about anything, only form the images in my head. It's awesome! The kids are crazy as ever. I'm constantly amazed at how fast Austin is growing up. Here's a picture of him on Logan's Pooh Airplane.

He's such a sweetie and just now cutting teeth. He's nearly 9 months old and only has 1 tooth! Sara and Logan are getting ready for school. He'll be going 2 days a week and Sara will be going for 4, gearing up for Kindergarten next year. Man, where has the time gone???
Now isn't she the picture of innocence? :) Yeah, me neither! And speaking of innocence...

...look at this handsome little devil. (emphasis on devil). They are wonderful kids. A handful sometimes, but wonderful kids. I don't know how I was ever happy without them.

just a quick post...

I wanted to post a picture of a layout I did for a club that I'm in. It's when Sara got her first haircut. Enjoy!

happy tuesday

Well, not much to blog about. I did a little scrapbooking over the weekend and am now in the process of selecting and ordering ribbon for the next few months. I know many of you might find this strange and I too and still wondering about it. But with all the hub-bub surrounding the Harry Potter book that just came out, I decided to find out what the big deal was. So I started reading the series. I finished the first book in about a day and am on the second one. I love to read and so far they are very entertaining. I already know basically what happens at the end of the series, but that's ok with me. Well, I better get back to work, just thought I'd check in! Here's a layout that I did this weekend. One of my favorite pictures of Austin.

how funny would this be...

I got an email from the Disney store this morning advertising costumes. (already?) So, I was looking at what they had and saw that they had an adult Cruella De Ville costume from 101 Dalmatians. That got me thinking...I'll get that for me, get Austin a Dalmatian costume and then hand out candy with Spike!
Now wouldn't that be a hoot! I started to curb my Starbucks diet this week. Well, today is day 2. I'm doing it for two reasons. One is that it's expensive and two, it has a lot of calories. And I'm trying to lose weight. I was down 15 pounds and then gained 5 back so now I'm only down 10. But that's 10 that I wasn't down before. Let me tell you, having 3 kids pretty close together will wreck havoc on your body. Not to mention my HORRENDOUS eating habits. I'm shooting for 50 more pounds by the time we move back to California.
Oh yeah, for those of you that don't know, we are planning to move back to California. I AM SO EXCITED!!! I can't wait to move back into our house. And besides there is WAY more scrapbooking things in CA. :)
Well, I should get back to cleaning up around here, although it really is a lost cause. Have a super day everyone!

the state of the day address...

As you can tell from the pictures today isn’t starting out with the box next to super checked. Most things around here are a mess. Except my kitchen counters. At least that makes me feel good. When it gets like this I just want to hide. From everything. It seems like the odds are stacked against me. But I know that if I tackle one thing at a time, by days end I will have a pretty good dent in it. Ok that’s if the kids don’t follow behind me tearing it up again!

Other than that, not much else to report. Just trying to keep it all together. Peace out.

out of the mouths of babes...

I think it might have been yesterday when I was telling Sara to take off and promptly throw away a pair of underwear that had a HUGE hole in the butt. And her reply to this request was...
"...but mom, I like touching my butt..." Nice... Gotta love 4 year olds.
In other exciting news...Jason came home today and we all are happy to have him home. Logan about popped a vein when he saw him this morning. That's of course after I got lost in DC trying to get to Ronald Reagan National Airport. It was a lovely morning...just another reason why I need GPS...
Nothing much else to report. I've been stalking Donna Downey's blog to score an Arccivo, but to no avail. Jason said he'd buy one for me though. So that is super cool.
Oh, I almost forgot. My Nan sent me pictures of my old high school being torn down. I was SO SAD. I couldn't even look at all the pictures until this morning. I know I'm such a sap. Here's one that she sent...

I think it was hard for me because my grandfather, both my mom and my dad, and me all went to that school. That's not even counting all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I didn't expect my kids to go there, but still, it's tough to see it go.

Also have been doing a little scrapping this weekend. So far this year I have made a layout documenting each month. Here's the one for June. I got lazy and instead of scanning it I just took a photo of it. Oh, well.

Well, as Tigger would say TTFN (ta ta for now) Can you tell I watch too much children's tv?
